Welcome to Geneva's on-campus Writing Center, where we offer personal consultation to student writers.

Drop-In Hours

Monday: 1 - 5 p.m.
Tuesday: 7 - 9 p.m.
Wednesday: 7 - 10 p.m.
Thursday: 7 - 9 p.m.

Drop-in consultations are first come, first served. Consultations will be limited to 20 minutes if other writers are waiting.

Writing Center Tutor

There are two ways to receive writing consultation: come to McCartney Library during drop-in hours or book an appointment.

Scheduled Appointments

Geneva on-campus students can schedule a one-on-one writing consultation with a Peer Writing Consultant, either online or in-person. Use the button below to see available times and reserve your spot. You must book your appointment at least 12 hours in advance.

Geneva Pittsburgh and fully online students must schedule appointments by email to writingcenter@paulytheprayingpup.com.

To prepare for a writing consultation:
  • Have the document you wish to review in print or saved to the cloud
  • If you would like to edit your work during the review and don't have a a laptop to use, you can borrow a Chromebook from the McCartney Library Circulation Desk.

Tutors will help you with any aspect of your writing, including:

  • Understanding an assignment
  • Brainstorming ideas
  • Organizing thoughts
  • Writing paragraphs
  • Crafting sentences
  • Formatting a paper
